Worst Mistake In Business

I used to have a very talented web designer on my team. He was every business owner’s wet dream.

Worked fast, delivered on time, but the craziest thing about him…

…he didn’t ask stupid questions at all.

Problem is that dreams don’t last forever.

We all know that if it feels too good to be true… It probably is.

So it wasn’t long until I got hit by reality.

Wake Up Call

One day the guy calls in sick. This was a BIG problem because he was the only web designer I had.

We had a very aggressive deadline to hit for a big client. We couldn’t mess it up because he had a lot of potential to become our partner.

Three days go by and he’s still sick. In the meantime the client is asking me about the progress of the project.

The job was nowhere near done.

And it’s all because I’ve done the dumbest possible thing you can ever do in business. Which is rely on ONE key employee.

The Worst Number In Business

At first I blamed my web designer, but then I realized he was just human. Turns out he was actually sick.

It hit me that this was all MY FAULT.

I failed miserably because I got too dependent on ONE source. ‘One’ is the worst number in business.

One key staff person.

One source of leads.

One big client.

And what happens when you’re ONE is taken away? You’re dead in the water.

I ended up hiring a random guy from Fiverr who got the job done halt-decently.

Luckily it was passable and we managed to get it on time.

But from that day on I vowed to never be in this position again.

Why Your Business Is Not Safe

‘One’s always pop up where we least expect them. Especially in our marketing.

Chances are there’s only ONE channel where most of your leads are coming from. This is a vulnerability waiting to be exploited.

Best time to do something about it is now.

Start looking into Meta ads.

Or Google.

Or YouTube

Or autoresponder marketing.

Or anything else you prefer.

If you want help with that, get in touch with my agency. If we’re a good fit I will personally take a look at your company and your marketing, come up with a strategy of what I’d do differently and discuss it with you in depth on a call.

No cost, no obligation.

If you want to work together I’ll tell you exactly how that works, if you don’t want to work together that’s fine too. No hard selling, no pressure, no annoying sales tactics.
