Speaker From The 60s Doubles His ROAS With One Simple Trick

Ever thought how the haircut of your target audience affects your ROAS?

What if I told you there was a speaker named Jim Rohn who found a direct connection.

The lesson behind his story can not only improve your ad performance.

But it’s also gonna change the way you view marketing for good.

Strap in.

Going Back The Dark Age

Let’s date back almost 70 years… No internet, no social media, not even fax machines.

At that time Jim Ron was doing his motivational seminars, traveling country after country across the USA.

One of the days he got on stage and noticed something strange about the male audience in his crowd.

The overwhelming majority had crewcuts for some reason:

Jim had no idea that he had spotted something huge at that moment. He surely didn't know how it would affect his income soon.

Luckily he didn’t ignore the pattern and kept it in mind before his next tour.

Launching The Crewcut Marketing Campaign

Usually before Jim toured a new city, he’d run a newspaper ad to sell tickets to his seminar.

This time he wanted to do something different after the pattern he spotted.

Jim hit up all the barbershops in the city he toured to collect the contact details of men who get crewcuts.

He sent them a private invitation to his upcoming seminar, instead of running his usual ad in the newspaper.

Guess how many of them bought a ticket…

Massive Success Or A Waste Of Time?

So was it actually worth it to launch the crewcut campaign?

I mean we’re just talking about a haircut… What does it have to do with our marketing results?

Well, Jim’s new marketing campaign turned out to be a grand slam.

Never before did he get such a high conversion rate.

But why?

Is there some magical connection between someone’s haircut to his buying behavior?

Not exactly… This is more of an example of a principle called “Audience Bias”

What Is An Audience Bias And How It Can Skyrocket Your ROAS

I don’t care what industry you’re in or what type of product you sell… there’s always a group of people that are more likely to buy from you than the rest.

If you’re a chiropractor then most of your customers are going to be older people.

If you run a martial arts gym then most of your customers are going to be men.

If you’re Jim Ron then apparently most of your customers are gonna have crewcuts.

It doesn’t always have to be a haircut like in the story, it can also be an age group, sex, etc…

The more accurately you identify your audience bias, the better your ROAS will be. If you want help with that, feel free to contact us for a consultation here.

There are no obligations, no costs, and no annoying sales pitch.
