Lead generation is the most important skill you can have. Master it and you’ll never have to worry about money again.
There’s just one problem.
Most people suck at it.
I hear it from business owners all the time:
“We’ve tried to post flyers, knock on doors, spread word of mouth…
… and it kinda worked, but not like we want it to.”
Here’s how to go from being ‘sort of’ happy about your leads. To having so many of them you don't know what to do.
The Caveman. The Business Owner. A Lead Generation Tragedy.
Let’s take a caveman that tries to catch fish. Comprate him to a business owner trying to generate more leads.
What do the two have in common?
Back then cavemen used a method called ‘spear finishing’.
Take a spear. Wait for the fish to come. Stab it.
This is the exact method most companies use to generate leads today.
Take your service. Find a prospect. Stab him.
It’s one of the worst possible ways to do it.
As time went by, we realized it’s much easier to have the fish come to us instead of chasing them.
How To Make Leads Come To You
Turns out you can take a rod. Put a worm on the hook. Then simply just sit in one place and wait for the fish to come.
Same thing with lead generation.
Easiest way to get more inquiries is to set up bait for your prospect.
Meaning, you want to give them a reason to reach out to you. Offer them something they want for free.
For example:
“Contact us a free quote / consultation“
“Reach out to find out how much your house is worth”
Something that will make them raise their hand and say - “Yes! Please get in touch with me”
Figure out what makes their juices flow. Then offer to give it to them for free.
Implement this and I guarantee you’ll start getting more leads.
